Pre-Need Planning

Pre-need Planning eliminates confusion, uncertainty as well as additional stress and expense for families experiencing the loss of a loved one. Pre-need Planning is a sensible way for families to make important decisions together in an unhurried and thoughtful manner. Property Sales

Property Sales The City of Lubbock Cemetery has property available for purchase in several price ranges. Family group sections are also available for purchase at no additional cost. For information on Property Sales, call the Cemetery Office at 767-2270.

Monuments

The City of Lubbock allows flat monuments and raised headstones in any area of the Cemetery. Monuments must be made of marble, granite, or cast bronze. The City Cemetery does not sell monuments. Families can make arrangements with a private vendor if they wish to purchase a headstone or monument for a gravesite. The private vendor will also set the monument at the gravesite. The City Cemetery charges a setting fee of $24 per running foot as part of the setting process.

The City of Lubbock Cemetery assists families in ordering VA Monuments from the Veterans Administration for qualified veterans. Once the VA Monument arrives, the City of Lubbock will set the monument at the graveside and charges a $25 installation fee.

Grave Services

The City of Lubbock Cemetery works with all funeral homes to make the necessary arrangements for families during their time of loss. No interments are held on Sundays or on any City of Lubbock Holiday. The following fees are associated with the Cemetery's grave services:
